PIFU

When you record the administrative outcome of an appointment or another activity, you might place the patient on a PIFU Patient Initiated Follow-Up. Allows patients and their carers the flexibility to arrange their follow-up appointments as and when they need them. pathway. PIFU pathways can have different lengths. They can range between 1 month to indefinite. During that time, you can book PIFU appointments for the patient.

When you record the administrative outcome of a PIFU appointment, if you book the patient a follow-up appointment, or add them to a waiting list, Nervecentre automatically cancels the patient's PIFU pathway. You can manually cancel a patient's PIFU pathway if the patient has agreed you can cancel it. This means you can no longer book PIFU appointments for the patient.

Depending on your permissions, you can also view patients on a PIFU pathway from  Outpatients > Manage > PIFU Lists.
